The S.O.S. dive club, and everyone in our area and beyond who knew him are shocked and dismayed over the untimely passing of our dear friend, our fellow diver, and the president of our club, Mr. Christopher T. Massie.  Chris passed away at his home in the early morning hours of Monday, February 27, 2002, as a result of complications from his diabetic condition.  Chris had a passion for the sport of diving which is rare and special.  It is only fitting that Chris made a local dive with his two best friends, Mr. Steve Ishmael and Mr. Matt Martin on Saturday afternoon, 1-1/2 days before his death. 

Anyone whom Chris would encounter would be certain to hear of his love of this pastime within minutes of meeting him.  Chris will be mourned and remembered for years to come.  He was 37 years old.  Farewell Buddy....

Chris's passing sorta knocked the wind out of the sails of the dive club and the S.O.S. (Southern Ohio Scuba) Dive Club is temporarily inactive.
